Costs and payment
Home health care costs depend on the care model, payer, visit length, and whether the need is skilled clinical care or non-medical personal care. Use this page as a starting point before calling agencies.

Plan with your own quote
Enter an agency's hourly quote and a schedule to compare weekly and four-week totals. The rate starts blank because this tool does not estimate local market prices. It calculates in your browser and needs no name, email or care details.
Enter your hourly quote to see the totals. For example, 24 hours a day on 7 days a week requires 168 hours of coverage.
Formula: hourly quote × hours per day × care days per week. Four weeks is 28 days, not a calendar month. Totals assume one person providing care at a time at the same quoted hourly rate. Add any minimum-visit charges, overtime or premium charges billed by the agency, travel, deposits, additional staff and other fees from the written agreement. A flat daily or live-in quote needs a separate comparison. This arithmetic does not determine staffing, worker pay or insurance benefits.
Record the full quote in the printable agency-call worksheet
Describe the same tasks, visit length, days and requested start date to each branch. Ask whether the quote is for personal care, a skilled visit or a longer nursing shift; those prices describe different services.
A Colorado Class A license does not establish Medicare certification or your plan’s payment. Check Medicare certification separately. For Medicare Advantage, Health First Colorado or other coverage, confirm the specific plan, provider participation and any authorization with the agency and payer or case manager.
Request the billing unit, minimum hours, weekend or holiday charges, travel or assessment fees, deposits and cancellation terms. Ask what is excluded and how long the quote remains valid. Compare the total for the same week, rather than an hourly rate alone.
Print this page using your browser's Print command, or choose Save as PDF. Use the blank columns for two or three agencies and fill them in by hand. Ask each branch about the same schedule. Keep private care details in your own notes.

Costs vary by skilled care versus personal care, visit length, payer, and agency policies. Always ask for a written rate sheet and confirm whether the agency accepts the payer you plan to use.
Rates can depend on care complexity, schedule, location, staffing availability, and payer requirements, so many agencies quote after a care assessment.
A directory listing or license is a starting point. Confirm the exact address, staffing, services and payment arrangements directly with the branch and payer.
